Utilizing these technologies delivers a more efficient, cost-effective and safer inspection process option while delivering powerful insight to help mitigate risk.

Our full suite of technology-enabled solutions can be swiftly modified to adapt to any unique environment. From scheduled maintenance inspections and asset mapping to flaw identification and emergency inspections, our robotics services provide comprehensive assessments of your most complex assets.

RVI Robotic Inspection

Remote Visual Inspection

Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) is a non-destructive testing technique that employs the use of remote operated camera systems including videoprobes, tube cameras, robotic crawlers, pan tilt zoom (PTZ) cameras, uncrewed aerial systems (UASs/drones), and submersible remote operated vehicles (ROVs). The remote nature of the data capture, sophistication of the tooling and skill of the inspector drives safe, efficient, and cost-effective inspections in hazardous, inhospitable, and inaccessible plant systems and components. Common applications include tanks, vessels and piping systems that would typically require confined space entry (CSE) efforts. RVI can also be especially helpful in nuclear facilities to abate exposure to radiation and contamination. Additionally, RVI enables asset inspection via relatively small access points reducing the time and effort associated with extensive component disassembly.

As a leading RVI service provider, TEAM maintains a well-trained and dedicated staff of RVI practitioners, with certifications spanning from nuclear to offshore industries. Complemented with an expansive equipment inventory our professionals are renowned for preparedness, application expertise, image clarity and expedient, detailed reports.

RVI also facilitates foreign object search and retrieval (FOSAR) or foreign material exclusion/extraction (FME).  Foreign objection debris (FOD) may cause catastrophic damage to the operating unit, plant and facility as well as impose a danger to plant personnel.  (This damage is also termed FOD or foreign object damage.)  Foreign object debris may be classified into domestic, internal, and external depending on how the FOD was introduced into the system. Regardless of the source, TEAM’s trained staff of FOSAR experts are equipped with a wide array of robotic cameras and retrieval tools to locate and extract foreign object debris (FOD) from your plant systems and components.

Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UASs)

TEAM provides certified and licensed FAA-107 UAS pilots to expertly plan missions, pilot aircraft, inspect assets and deliver exceptional data sets. Our broad experience includes aerial NDT inspections, mapping, surveying, and modeling utilizing both internal and external UAS aircraft. This all-inclusive service provides significant time and cost savings while mitigating risks associated with the examination.

Internal UAS (Drone) Inspections

TEAM’s pilots equipped with UAS tools engineered for GPS denied environments are an ideal solution for reducing confined space entries (CSE). This data collection technique facilitates remote viewing and mapping of vessel internals, without the need for personnel entry, hole watches, scaffolding erection, and emergency egress contingency planning. The high-resolution camera and coupled with up to 16000 lumens of light provides exceptional inspection coverage and enhanced probability of detection (POD).

External UAS (Drone) Inspections

Working at heights is not only prohibitively expensive it also represents significant risk to personnel and equipment.  TEAM’s staff of experienced UAS pilots, equipped with industry leading aircraft and cameras can drive considerable value for emergent or routine examinations at height, providing a safer faster, and more convenient alternative. UAS enabled visual or thermographic examinations of critical infrastructure such as flare tips, tank roofs, and pipe racks can be completed online and at safe distances. Proper deployment of the technology mitigates the use of scaffolding, cranes, aerial lift baskets, and rope access efforts.

3D Laser Scanning

3D Laser Scanning provides unparalleled speed and accuracy for geospatial data capture reducing dimensional uncertainty and driving quality outcomes.  TEAM’s integrated 3D laser scanning services employs the use of sophisticated data capture equipment, software, workflows, and skilled personnel to produce intelligent models and digital twins.  This comprehensive service offering provides significant value to project planning, engineering, inspection, and maintenance stake holders. The substantial reduction of dimensional uncertainty improves the efficient use of capital, reduces rework, and minimizes unproductive field time.

Data Collection

TEAM’s 3D Laser Scanning staff employs a wide array of sophisticated data capture tools tailored to site needs and project specifications. Aerial, mobile, and terrestrial data capture may be performed depending on project variables such as specified tolerances, time constraints, asset density and topography. TEAM’s staff of experts offers tremendous experience across a wide assortment of industrial facilities including fossil power generation, nuclear power generation, LNG, refining, and offshore structures.
